Some Chalk Lines.....

When I saw the latest sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch, I was a little puzzled as to what I could create from the sketch.

I had to really think about how I could use my stamps to follow the layout of the sketch.  But then I remembered that one of the cool things about photopolymer stamps is that you can bend the stamp to create different shapes.  So I used a straight line image from Chalk Lines and moulded it to mirror the shape of the division in the sketch.

Stamps: Chalk Lines, Honeycombe Hello, Timeless Textures, Flower Shop
Colours: Island Indigo, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Other: Rhinestones, Bird punch for the leaves.

Skating By......

Before school goes back, I have created a stash of male birthday cards, as Mr 8 is sure to be invited to lots of birthday parties for his mates through the year.

I've used the set Skating By.....from the Annual Catalogue. Perfect for all things Mr 8 loves.

Here's a close up of the 'cammo' colouring for his shirt on the green card....

And I've even managed to get some texture onto the yellow shirt!!

Here's another one that I made using some retired DSP.

Stamps: Skating By
Colours: Whisper White, Garden Green, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
Other: Stamp'n'Write Markers

Just for Embossing....

This is a birthday card that I made for one of my good friends....

Stamps: Botanicals for You, Petite Petals
Colours: Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi
Other: Love Blossoms DSP, leaves from the bird punch.

Number of uses.....

This stunning floral bouquet is from the new stamp set "Number of Years".  Its actually a two step stamp, which means you stamp the greenery (though I've stamped it in Crumb Cake) first, and then add the flowers afterwards.  This is a great way of adding a variety of colour to 'single' stamped image....... Just one of the tricks of the trade ;-)

I based this sketch on one from Freshly Made Sketches, but unfortunately, I wasn't in time to enter it into the challenge....

And here's a close up of the cute little bow.....just beacuase ...

Stamps:  Number of Years
Colours:  Thick Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Rose Red.
Other: Love Blossoms DSP, Blushing Bride thick bakers twine (mine is left over from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Kits).

Hello 2016.....

Wow....a new year..... 2016 ...... and what's more fitting but some calendars.

I've used some blank coasters to make these little gifts, but you could just as easily repurpose one that is already printed (just make sure that you cover the printed side!!).

I've enjoyed playing with the new Wink of Stella brush from the Occasions Catalogue.....it's just like our aquapainters, but loaded with gorgeous clear glitter.  I just loved how you can put the shimmer exactly where you want it!!  Here are some close ups of the focal images....

Lillies (I think?) from Remarkable You (with some paper piecing)....

Butterflies from Nature's Perfection (retired)....

And the flower is also from Nature's Perfection. ....

And here is my favourite calendar, just so you can see clearly what I've done.  The floral image is again from Nature's Perfection, and these butterflies are from Papillion Potpourri.

Stamps: Papillion Potpourri, Remarkable You, Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Nature's Perfection
Colours: Old Olive, Tangello Twist, Whisper White
Other: English Garden DSP, Tangello Twist striped satin ribbon, rhinestones, pearls.
